Beatles Album: The Beatles AKA The White Album : Track 2
Year: 1968
Lyrics: Lennon, McCartney
Length: 4.00
Another song that resulted from the Beatles hanging out in Rishikesh in 1968. The Beatles Dear Prudence song is based upon the American actress Prudence Farrow. In India Prudence would do nothing but meditate (she locked herself in a room for three weeks and became catatonic), and the lyrics of dear prudence make it pretty clear that the Beatles want Prudence to come out and play.
During their time in India the Beatles did a lot of soul searching, and this becomes evident in many of the songs of the 'white album'.
John is multitracked on lead vocals, and does the backing with George and Paul.
