Beatles Album: The Beatles AKA The White Album : Track 19
Year: 1968
Lyrics: Lennon, McCartney

The lyrics of the Beatles yer blues were written by John Lennon and are an anguished plea for help to Yoko Ono. At this stage in life John, and the Beatles were losing direction, and john was finding it hard to cope. On top of this he had become madly in love with Yoko, yet still had some feelings of loyalty towards Cynthia.
The reference to Mr Jones in the Yer blues lyrics refers to the Bob Dylan song ballad of a thin man.
Prior to writing this song John had disclosed to Cynthia his relationships with other women during their marriage, and the yer blues song addresses the suicidal feelings that he had had after coming clean about his life to Cynthia.
